If you are a health care provider using AEPSi™, according to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Brookes Publishing Co. qualifies as your Business Associate because we are handling protected health information (PHI) in the form of child data entered by you into AEPSi. Under the terms of HIPAA's Privacy Rule, you must obtain satisfactory written assurances from Brookes Publishing Co. that we will appropriately safeguard the PHI that we receive or create on your behalf.
